Duck Tales: An Epistolary Story

Although changing the trajectory of my career after over two decades in public education threatened to be traumatic, I've found a new professional home and have been welcomed by co-workers who not only accept my zaniness but also revel in it with me. Please enjoy this ongoing saga of my growing desk toy family as told through a series of thank yous sent in response to each anonymous gift. Be sure to check back often as to the current state of play.

11/16/2021:

Dear xxx staff,

Thank you so much to the lovely soul(s) that added to my cubicle toy family! Aurick is so happy to be surrounded by his new diminutive, as-yet-unnamed friends (pic 1). He even hosted a welcome party (pic 2) and invited Yorick and Mega Duck to attend. Finally, in the distance, Worf stands at the ready with his band of mighty huntersSpiney the Battle Cactus and Princess Unikittyto ensure that there are no shenanigans that threaten our revelry (pic 3)!

Have a joy filled day,

CET

Dear xxx staff,

Thank you, to whomever gifted me with Duck Kringle. Today has been a little harried, so we haven't had time for a party yet. But, he and Uniduck—Thanks, L...!definitely brought me joy and brightened my day.

Sincerely,

12/17/2021:

Dear xxx staff,

Thank you, yet again, for my gift of duck toys for my desk!
The two newest uniducks have joined their sibling to make a set of triplets that I've collectively named Huey, Dewey, and Louie and were welcomed into the fold by the mistress of unicorn hybridsand member of Worf's team of warrior womenPrincess Unikitty.

And to formally welcome the newest additions to the family, everyone gathered for a new group photo. (l-r: Mega Duck; Duck KringleYorrick;  Huey, Dewey, & LouieSnow WhiteAurickDuck Armstrong; and Boy Blue)

If I don't see you before January, happy holidays. Enjoy some time with friends and loved ones!

Sincerely,

CET
